| Happy New Years EVE! Ok i'm done now. So...let's see, what's been going on with me...Christmas Day was cool, I got a lot of awesome stuff, and about a million more DVDs which was great as well. I'll name everything I got, mainly for me to remember this gigantic receiving of many DVDs at once always. Napoleon Dynamite, The Terminal, Simpsons Seasons 4 & 5, South Park Seasons 3 & 4, Friends Season 8, Dawson's Creek Season 3, Seinfeld Seasons 1 & 2, The Naked Gun movies, LOTR: The Two Towers Extended Edition. I also got some great perfume, 2 new hoodies, Tony Hawk Underground 2, Original Mario Bros for Gameboy Advance, and a couple other things. So it was a very awesome Xmas and it was awesome just getting to hang out at home all day with my family playing with our new stuff and not have to go to my dad's mom side of the family since we did that on xmas eve.
Since then...I've been working of course, I saw Meet The Fockers with Ashley and Diane, which is a very worthy sequel. I wasn't expecting too much b/c I didn't want to be disappointed but I really enjoyed the movie, it was very funny, it's worth seeing for sure!
I also saw The Life Aquatic. In case you didn't know it's directed and written by Wes Anderson who also wrote and directed Rushmore and the Royal Tenenbaums. If you have seen these films and enjoyed either of them, then I definitly recommend seeing it. If you have seen them and hated them, then dont see Life Aquatic. If you don't know anything about Royal or Rushmore, then I recommend seeing the Life Aquatic, but go in knowing that it's very dry humor, and on the surface could appear to be a dull movie to some, but there is a much deeper meaning to the film than it appears on the surface. Bill Murray...is amazing. His acting is very subtle but so meaningful. As my great friend Ryan put it, he has now perfected his acting. It's so true, acting doesn't get much better than that. Everyone is great in the film though, not just Bill Murray. So...if you can handle and even enjoy dry humor and look below the surface a bit, you'll see a great movie.
The other night, after seeing Life Aquatic, I dyed Matt's hair black with him, it's pretty cooooooool looking, it's so different for him, but I like it. Then, Ryan, Nicole, Diane, Matt, RJ, Mandy and myself all got together and played Texas Holdem for a looooong time. It was really fun, I love group gatherings like that. Kristen and her boyfriend and Nina also stopped by for a little bit and we played Asshole and Bullshit, that was fun but only lasted 45 minutes or so and then everyone took off. It was a fun night though. And yesterday I pretty much worked the entire day till 1am
So that pretty much catches up everything i've done...oh and I spent all my xmas money and went crazy and bought all 6 seasons of Sex and the City b/c they had a deal where u get all 6 which were already on sale, for another 80 bucks off besides that. And the even better part is that the guy screwed up and gave me 90 bucks off hehe. So I got those and also Garden State and Anchorman. I can't say enough great things about Garden State, and I couldn't stop talking about it after all 3 times paying to see it in theatres and could still keep talking about it now, but I won't. It's just so great, and anyone who hasn't seen it absolutely has to.
Well I hope everyone has a great New Years, I'm not sure what i'm doing for it yet tonight, possibly going to the bar Fox & Hound w/Ryan, Nicole, Diane and Matt. Or we might head to Ryan's apartment and drink and have fun there. We shall see what happens. |
